COVID-19 Updates

May 12, 2020

Governor Inslee has extended the Stay Home – Stay Safe Order and announced a phased approach that restricts gatherings of more than 50 people in Washington State until at least July 13th.

As such, the AEE West Energy Conference and Expo will become a virtual event, with no live meetings held in Seattle, WA.  We hope you can join us during our 3 day virtual conference and expo on June 23-25.  More details will be posted on this site soon...

The health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, speakers, AEE staff and the general public is of the utmost importance to AEE. We are still monitoring the constantly evolving situation and are aware of the limits on large gatherings imposed in Seattle, which are in place "until further notice."

As you can imagine, many details have to be considered and so we request your patience and understanding as we build timelines for decisions. We are committed to keeping you informed as plans are defined.

AEE Events to be Held As Scheduled

We will update this page weekly (or more) as things change.

AEE extends our concern and support for those impacted by the Coronavirus COVID-19. We are closely monitoring the situation as it relates to AEE Events. As of now, with AEE West 15 weeks out, we are hopeful the situation resolves in time for a successful event at the end of June.

Exhibitors and attendees are still signing up.

We will follow protocols of the CDC, WHO and local authorities while planning onsite activities and precautionary measures.

We will provide updated information as it becomes available, and are working very closely with Seattle and the Washington State Convention Center to stay informed. And all hospitality venues are monitoring the situation diligently.

CDC Prevention Tips
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty
